Imad Khoury has served as the Chief Executive Officer of Unipal General Trading Company since 2007. Under his leadership, Unipal has become the No. 1 FMCG distributor in Palestine and an industry leader in Jordan. Imad has played a central role in the company’s expansion, establishing Unipal Jordan as the group’s first subsidiary outside Palestine and strengthening Unipal’s portfolio with globally recognised partners such as Ferrero, Mars Wrigley, Sunrice, and Al Alali, among others. Imad began his career with APIC in 1997 as Chief Accountant at Siniora Food Industries–Palestine. He later held several senior roles, including CFO and COO across multiple APIC subsidiaries, before assuming his current position at Unipal. He also serves on the boards of APSC, AmCham, and several other Palestinian companies. Imad holds a degree in Accounting and Business Administration from Bethlehem University, is a Certified CPA, and has completed executive programs at leading international institutions.
Abdeljalil Jaraba leads the Business Development function at Unipal, driving the company’s growth strategy and shaping its future expansion. After successfully establishing Unipal Jordan in 2020 and serving as its General Manager, he transitioned to overseeing Unipal’s broader geographic expansion plans and building a strong pipeline of national and international partners. In 2024, he supervised the integration of the Reema hygiene paper business into Unipal Palestine, following earlier achievements such as developing and launching Unipal’s private label brand, GloPal. Abdeljalil also oversees Unipal’s digital transformation efforts. He and his team develop and implement digital sales, merchandising, and business intelligence tools that enhance operational efficiency and support Unipal’s continued market leadership. From 2016 to 2020, Abdeljalil served as Sales Director and Operations Manager for Unipal Palestine. He originally joined Unipal in 1999 as a Van Sales Representative, gaining extensive experience across all trade channels and markets, including Palestine, Jordan, and P&G–Egypt. He later held the position of Sales & Marketing Manager at Siniora Food Industries–Palestine, an APIC subsidiary, before returning to Unipal to occupy senior roles across Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Business Development. Abdeljalil holds both an MBA and a BA in Business Administration from Birzeit University.
Finance Manager
Ehab Jumaa is the Finance and Administration Manager Since August 2020.
Ehab has more than 13 years’ experience with Deloitte and touché as a Senior Manager with extensive external audit knowledge and skills in financial, compliance, and operational areas within the FMCG, banking, manufacturing, TMT, construction and trading fields.
Ehab graduated from Al-Zaytoonah University with BA degree in accounting in 2002 and certified JCPA in 2013
Joined Al Jihan GT in 2020. Prior to his move to Al Jihan, Aren spent 8 years holding various key positions within a leading FMCG distribution company in Jordan; including warehousing, shipping, marketing, brand management, and operations. Throughout his time in the FMCG field, he has helped launch and establish several brands that have seen significant success within the Jordanian market.
Aren currently overseas Al Jihan storage facilities as well a shipping fleet which delivers products directly to over 4,000 customers across all channels in Jordan. Along with this role, he also oversees a team of highly energetic merchandisers who seek to reflect the best image of the products carried by Al Jihan GT to customers across all channels.
Aren holds a Masters Degree in Management as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Azusa Pacific University in Los Angeles, California.
In 1997 Imad joined APIC as Chief Accountant – Siniora Food Industries-Palestine, since then he acted as CFO and COO for several APIC subsidiaries including Unipal. Also Imad is a board member of APSC, AmCham, among other Palestinian companies.
Imad is a graduate of Bethlehem University with a degree in Accounting & Business Administration, a Certified CPA, and participated in various executive courses from top institutes.
In 1998 Hisham joined Unipal as junior accountant, since then he built solid business and financial experience. Hisham manages the administrative and IT Systems functions in Unipal as well. Hisham spent 3 years with NBC as Financial Analyst focusing on costing, production and business efficiencies, and profitability.
Hisham graduated from Birzeit University with BA degree in Accounting.
In 2016 Irena Kawwas rejoined Unipal to drive company’s growth and acquisition of new businesses.
Previously Irena acquired commercial, marketing and business development experience handling consumer business in Palestine, since joining Unipal as junior staff in 1998, spent 3 years with FMCG multinational P&G in Europe, held FMCG sales & marketing position in MSS, APIC subsidiary.
Irena holds MBA degree from Northwestern University, High Diploma in Marketing & BA in Science from Birziet University.
Sales and Marketing Director/ Tobacco and Ooredoo
Qais Maghari joined Unipal in 2006, since then he moved the corporate ladder from junior sales representative in consumer goods, through various supervisory & managerial positions in both sales & marketing, gathering a substantial experience.
Since 2018 Qais heads the both Tobacco & Telecom businesses, Qais put his experience to strengthen and modernize operations in his unit.
Qais holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Al Azhar University in Palestine.
General Manager Unipal Jordan
Nassar has served as General Manager of Unipal Jordan since 2022, following his key role in Unipal’s acquisition of Al-Jehan General Trading in 2020 as Head of Business Development and Support for both the Palestinian and Jordanian markets.
In 2017, he and his team successfully launched IQOS in Palestine and managed several retail stores for these products, alongside a dedicated customer engagement program. Nassar joined Unipal in 2016, bringing extensive experience in business management, having previously worked at Gulf Taleed in Saudi Arabia as Consumer Relations Manager. He also has strong expertise in public relations, project management, marketing, and sales.
Amr overseas the core of Unipal operations, managing the biggest and most advanced Distribution Center in Palestine, with best-in-class storage, handling, and shipping systems.
Amr holds Master of Business Administration and BA in Finance from Birzeit University.
Asma Imtir has served as Unipal’s Human Resources Director since 2020, overseeing the company’s human capital across Palestine and Jordan. With more than 700 professionals under her remit, Asma ensures that Unipal’s teams benefit from a supportive work environment, comprehensive employee benefits—including health insurance and work–life balance initiatives—and continuous training and professional development opportunities. Asma joined Unipal in 2003 as an Administrative Assistant and has since progressed through multiple roles in HR management, recruitment, training, and administration. Since 2011, she has held managerial positions within the HR function, playing a key role in shaping Unipal’s people strategy. She introduced modern HR systems covering compensation management, performance evaluation, and employee engagement, supporting the company’s growth and organisational development. Asma holds a degree in Computer Programming, complemented by several professional certifications in Human Resources.
Hussein has been appointed as Head of Sales Unipal Jordan since 2024, responsible for leading Unipal’s sales team to achieve revenue goals, expand market share, fulfill suppliers’ requirements and build strong customer relationships. Prior to this he served for 2 years as Commercial & Marketing Manager Lead and managing commercial and marketing teams to build full-service distribution model for the purpose of fulfilling supplier strategic goals and building sustainable and profitable business. Hussein was promoted this position after spending 8 years with Unipal Palestine in different capacities including Business development manager & Brand manager, this diverse experience put him on fast track of learning and development. Hussein holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc), Logistics, Materials, and Supply Chain Management from Aston University, UK.
